Welcome to Ankara University Open Archive Repository

The Open Archive includes: articles by Ankara University faculty and assistants that are peer-reviewed and published in scientific journals and bulletins, congress proceedings, project texts, conference texts, reports, course notes, and electronic or printed copies of sections that are part of a book.

BENEFITS


• Compiling of an electronic archive of our university’s publications by the help of the Open Archive activities,
  


• Providing of easy, quick and free access to the knowledge that is created by our academic staff. This way, scientific works of our university will be acknowledged and used by a wider range of people,
  


• By more access and use of the scientific works in the open archive, researchers will be cited more,
  


• Reflecting of our university’s real scientific performance by making known our university’s contribution to scientific activities both home and abroad,
  


• Making possible to publish the unpublished course notes and conference speeches, notes by our academic staff, which are thought to have scientific content,
  


• Cross-reference between the articles that are in the references of works in the Open Archive and our Electronic Library (if indexed and present), therefore there will be direct access to those materials that are cited as references in the Open Archive articles, if they are indexed in any database in our university’s electronic library,
  


• Encouraging our academic staff to write and publish scientific publications,
  


• Providing the attendance and contributions of Ankara University to international open archive protocols and projects and leading those kinds of efforts at a national level,
  


• There will also be access to our open archive’s private URL from WWW search engines.
